Before we dive into how you apply the design thinking mindset to transform your life, let me explain my process. Below is a visual depiction of the Designing your Perfect Imperfect Life process to get your unstuck and keep you moving forward no matter what obstacles you might face. 

 

The key points to take away from this process:

– It is visually depicted as circular because this is not a linear process. It’s okay and natural to go back, to “fail”, to learn and keep on learning. It is through ideating and testing that keep you moving forward. 

– The dotted lines are intentional to show that this is a fluid process, weaving in and out between the steps. It’s okay to pass back and forth, this is not a solid line.

Accept

Accepting and Acknowledging where you are now.

Define

Define the challenge/obstacle that you need a solution for

Ideate

Brainstorm possible solutions to your obstacle.

Test

Test | Prototype selected action ideas from the ideate session.

Live

Live it! Do not be afraid to keep on testing and learning.
